MY HEARTFELT PASSION
This is the story of my heart's desire and passion for humanity, especially those folk in Phoenix, AZ. I am writing because
Arizona's underprivileged and homeless class has suffered and continues to suffer from various types of abuse and humiliation, often dehumanization.
At Christ Cares for You Ministries, Inc. we believe that those individuals are entitled to a life free of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Christ Cares for You Ministries, Inc. (formed in 2006) is dedicated to the protection of the underprivileged and homeless by means of rescue and rehabilitation of those individuals through counseling, free education, and art workshops.
Rather than providing short term aid, we partner with the local organizations and leaders to provide resources and support for initiatives that address poverty in a sustainable way, which include teaching people how to care for themselves, giving them the free tools and resources to gain that knowledge, and then the continued support in their lives as they move forward and onward toward success.
Throughout the years of driving my husband to work in the State Capital area, and seeing the multitude of homeless day after day, we are now making a strong effort to contribute to ending homelessness. Many have partnered with us and are raising money to help in various ways, such as providing land for actual building construction to house these individuals. Many other non-profits have joined together and are endlessly meeting, networking, broadcasting the need for help throughout Phoenix and Arizona. Our government representative have many programs where we can contribute money to help the homeless in great ways. We are in contact with them, attending meetings, conferences, and constantly learning of the needs of the homeless in the Phoenix and surrounding areas.
There is NO reason there should be any without homes. There is more than enough to go around for everyone. The way we can help is to be sure we know what is available, where the monies are needed to move the open housing areas forward, and to provide basic food and water to these individuals.
Please join our efforts to bring dignity and fulfillment to this often lost and forgotten population.
We are in need of volunteer grant writers help raise funds for the homeless projects, for Funds to also provide funding to single mothers who wish to get their GED and return to school, which will greatly help with them not becoming homeless, and to provide low cost to NO cost counseling to the communities that cannot afford to pay for services. Your positive thoughts would be coveted for this endeavor and any help you can provide. We will be holding fun and exciting fundraiser events so stay tuned! In order for us to empower communities to establish long-term solutions to poverty and mental health, which often go hand and hand, we need your support and contributions.
Help will be gratefully accepted in many forms, i.e., volunteer time, in-kind donations of art supplies, self-help books, note pads, clothing, food and of course any size monetary donations are gratefully accepted.
